Connect Claude or ChatGPT
Give your own AI your GGAB matches and the pro library: add GGAB as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, then ask it anything.
Updated
What it doesLink to this section
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any app that speaks MCP (the Model Context Protocol) to your GGAB account. Your AI can then read your matches, your insights and GGAB's pro match library, and do its own analysis in your chat.
GGAB hands over the data. Your AI does the thinking, on your own AI plan, so asking costs no GGAB tokens. Connecting is part of every GGAB membership.
The addressLink to this section
https://app.getgoodatbadminton.com/mcp
Paste this into your AI app. It's an address for apps, not a web page: opening it in a browser just brings you back here. You'll also find it, with a copy button, in Settings → Connections.
Claude (web and desktop app)Link to this section
Open ConnectorsLink to this section
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors. On some accounts it's under Customize → Connectors.
Add a custom connectorLink to this section
Choose Add custom connector. Name it GGAB and paste the address above as the server URL. Leave the advanced settings empty, then press Add.
Connect and allowLink to this section
Press Connect next to GGAB. GGAB opens in your browser: sign in if asked, check the app name, choose whether it may also make changes, and press Allow.
Start a chatLink to this section
Start a new chat, make sure GGAB is switched on in the tools menu, and ask away.
On Claude's free plan you can add one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner first adds GGAB under Organization settings → Connectors, then each member presses Connect.

Turn on Developer modeLink to this section
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps (called Connectors on some accounts), then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode. It needs a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.

Choose Create. Name it GGAB, paste the address above as the MCP server URL, and pick OAuth for authentication. Tick that you trust the app, then press Create.
Allow accessLink to this section
GGAB opens in your browser. Sign in if asked, check the app name and press Allow.
Choose GGAB in a chatLink to this section
In a chat, choose GGAB from the tools menu and ask away. ChatGPT may ask you to confirm each request the first time.
Claude CodeLink to this section
Add GGABLink to this section
claude mcp add --transport http ggab https://app.getgoodatbadminton.com/mcp
AuthenticateLink to this section
Run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick ggab and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens GGAB to approve it.
Meta Muse and your own scriptsLink to this section
Agents that can't open a browser to sign in use an API key instead.
Create an API keyLink to this section
In Settings → Connections, create an API key. Give it a name you'll recognise, like "Muse".
Copy the keyLink to this section
Copy the key straight away. GGAB only keeps a fingerprint of it, so it can't be shown again.
Give your agent the keyLink to this section
Give your agent the address above and the key, sent as a Bearer token. In Claude Code, for example:
claude mcp add --transport http ggab https://app.getgoodatbadminton.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
Just the docs, no accountLink to this section
Anyone can connect GGAB's help docs to their AI, with no GGAB account. Add this address as a custom connector, the same way as above (if your app asks about authentication, choose none):
https://www.getgoodatbadminton.com/mcp/docs
Your AI can then answer how-to questions about GGAB from these guides and link the page it used. It can't see anyone's account; to ask about your own matches, use the address at the top of this page.
Things to askLink to this section
- "List GGAB's pro women's singles matches and tell me what's covered."
- "Pull every shot from An Se Young's matches and compare her shot choice when she's leading versus trailing by four or more points. Show the sample sizes."
- "Give me every shot of that match as a CSV I can open in Python."
- "Which shot loses me the most points, and how do pros handle the same situation?"
What a connected AI can and can't doLink to this section
It can read your tracked matches, rallies and shots, your stats and insights, and the pro library. On Pro it can also read your training log and wearable data.
It can run Strategy Finder for your next opponent, and open the strategies you've already saved. A run from your AI counts toward the same limit as a run in GGAB.
It can search these guides, so it can answer how-to questions about GGAB too.
It can never create, edit or delete your tracked shots and rallies, delete a match or a video, watch or download any video, or touch your billing, password or account settings. Shots and rallies only change when you track in GGAB.
LimitsLink to this section
60 requests a minute per account, across all your connections. That's far more than one analysis needs; if your AI goes past it, GGAB tells it how long to wait.
If something goes wrongLink to this section
"Missing Authorization header" or "invalid_token". Something opened the address without signing in. Add it in your AI app as above rather than visiting it.
"Membership needed" when you go to approve. Connecting is part of a GGAB membership; check your plan on the billing page. Accounts for players under 18 can't connect AI apps.
Your AI says it has no GGAB tools. Switch GGAB on in the chat's tools menu. If it's on, remove the connector and add it again.
It keeps asking you to sign in. Sign in at app.getgoodatbadminton.com in the same browser first, then press Connect again.
"Too many requests". Your AI went past 60 requests in a minute. Wait the few seconds GGAB gives and it carries on.
DisconnectingLink to this section
Settings → Connections lists every connected app and key, with when it was last used. Disconnect or Revoke stops it on its very next request. Removing GGAB from your AI app's connectors works too.
Connecting AI apps isn't available for players under 18.
