Glossary

Simple meanings for the words used across the app.

What this is

These are the main words used in the app. Most show up in Match Tracker, tracking, and insights. If a word is new to you, look here.

Match and video

Match — A badminton match (singles or doubles) you turn into data. One video can hold one match or more.

Video — A file you upload, or a source you connect. Your videos live in your Videos library. You can use one video for more than one project.

Segment — A part of a video you mark to track, like one game inside a long video. Clear segments make the cost more accurate and keep tracking on real play.

Game type — Whether the match is singles or doubles. You set this during setup.

Tracking parts

Project — One match you are setting up, tracking, checking, and finishing in Match Tracker.

Rally — One round of play, from the serve until the point ends. Rallies are the base of every match.

Shot — One hit in a rally, like a clear, drop, smash, or net shot. Shots are tagged in order to show how the rally went.

Outcome — How a rally ended: a winner, a forced error, or an unforced error, and which player it belongs to. Most patterns come from outcomes.

Note — A comment you add to a rally or moment for yourself.

Tracking steps

Automatic tracking — You send a match and we build the rally and shot data for you, instead of you tagging every shot.

Shot tagging — You mark the shots yourself in the editor. You can tag the shots and let us fill in the rest. This lowers the cost.

Review — Checking the rallies, shots, and points for mistakes before you trust the data.

Finalize (mark done) — Marking a checked match as complete and ready for insights. Only finished matches feed your insights.

Returned match — A match we sent back with an Action needed banner because something needs fixing. Fix it and send it again.

Tokens and cost

Token — What you spend to pay for tracking. About 20,000 tokens cover one hour of footage as a guide. Tagging shots yourself can lower this.

Estimate — The cost we show before you send a match. It comes from your segments or the video length.

Hold — Tokens we set aside when you send a match. We charge the real cost once tracking is done and release the rest.

Settlement — The real charge after a match is finished, based on what we actually tracked.

Insights

Performance Insights — The area that turns your finished matches into patterns and trends.

Match Breakdown — A close look at one match, with the rallies, shots, points, and the AI read.

Trends Over Time — How a number changes across several matches.

Pro Comparisons — Views that compare you to pros. Pro data never mixes into yours.

Ask GGAB — The assistant that answers questions about your data. It works best with clear questions and more finished matches.
